Executive Support Officer
We are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer to provide high-level support to a senior leader in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.
This is a highly visible and externally facing role, requiring excellent organisation, discretion and the ability to manage changing priorities at short notice. You will manage a complex diary, coordinate meetings, briefings, events and engagements, and act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders including MPs, elected representatives, government departments, businesses, community representatives, Police and Fire.
You will also manage sensitive and high-profile matters, coordinate correspondence and actions, respond to urgent issues and ensure priorities are progressed effectively.
About You
You will have:
Essential experience supporting a senior leader within a political or public sector environment.
Experience managing complex diaries, competing priorities and demanding workloads.
Strong judgement and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience handling sensitive, confidential or high-profile issues.
The ability to anticipate risks, identify emerging issues and escalate appropriately.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The confidence to take ownership, make decisions within delegated authority and drive work forward.
The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
